1-Homes & Farms We've Sold.jpg

"Pretty Good Agents," Pete and Diane are Louisville natives with many years of marketing experience. They take the business of buying or selling your home or farm seriously, but believe it's great when you can have fun along the way. Their eagerness to work hard to understand the market and help people get what they want, plus their attention to detail, give clients the confidence they need in order to relax and enjoy the process.

Pete and Diane get a kick out of meeting new clients as well as having the chance to work with old friends. They love the fun group of entrepreneurial professionals at Kentucky Select who well deserve their reputation for Trusted Direction in Real Estate.

Pete grew up in Crescent Hill and Diane, née O'Callaghan, grew up in the Highlands. After meeting in New York City and getting married, they moved back to Louisville, bought the Highlands home they still live in and raised four children.

Pete attended Second Presbyterian Preschool, Crescent Hill Presbyterian Kindergarten, Emmet Field Elementary, Barret Junior High and Atherton before graduating from Kentucky Country Day School. He played lacrosse for Yale, where he earned his undergraduate degree. He received an MBA from the Tuck School at Dartmouth.

Diane attended St. Agnes, Atherton High School and graduated from Louisville Collegiate School. She played field hockey and tennis in high school and at Manhattanville College where she won high scorer and MVP awards for field hockey and received the President’s Prize for overall contribution to college life.

Pete serves on The Hannah Foundation board and is on the Louisville Landmarks Commission Architectural Review Committee for the Cherokee Triangle. He has served on the Cherokee Triangle Association Board of Trustees, acted as a mentor with Teach Kentucky and Bulldogs In The Bluegrass. He also has volunteered to interview high school students applying to Yale. Pete enjoys his monthly Monday Club adventures in the Kentucky woods and driving his old red convertible.

Diane is a periodic volunteer with Collegiate School and has served on the Alumni Board. For reasons unknown, she is also active with the University of Louisville Women’s Club. Down time for Diane is spent reading and cooking, taking power walks in Cherokee Park with the family’s Pretty Good Lab, Jake, sweating through and sometimes teaching a variety of hot and otherwise yoga classes. If you want to talk real estate, have questions about your home or just want to join Diane in a yoga workout, she would love to hear from you!

One of the best clients ever...

One day a couple walked past Pete as he was sweeping a sidewalk at home he was selling on Cherokee Rd.  The couple smiled, said hi and walked on by.  A few steps on, she spoke to her husband-to-be. He nodded.  They stopped and turned around.  They asked what Pete was doing.  He explained that the sellers had young children and had not had time to tidy up before the upcoming showing.  So he volunteered.  That was all they needed to hear.  He sold their condo, helped them buy their first home as a married couple, found a realtor to sell their out-of-state mountain home, helped her sister's neighbor sell her home, sold her sister's home and helped her sister buy a new home. Just recently, Diane helped the wife of the bride-to-be from Cherokee Rd.’s brother-in-law’s friend sell her home. We’ve lost count of how many that is. But that’s ok, it’s pretty good.
